How do I rent stuff from Trove?

It’s really quite simple actually. Pick out the items you’d like to use for your event from our online inventory page or by visiting us at our shop location. Then let us know so we can do up a full quote to send your way. Next, to reserve these items, you’ll pay a 50% deposit and sign our rental agreement to initially book the items and pay the remaining 50% the week prior to the event. We’ll have everything delivered at the predetermined time, everyone will commend you for your charming taste, then we’ll come back and pick it all up when you’re done.

How does delivery work?

We specialize in the Vancouver and Fraser Valley area, but may not turn down the chance for an awesome road trip depending on the destination and date of the event. Cost varies depending on the location, order size, times of delivery + pick-up, and accessibility of the site. Just let us know where you want us, and we’ll let you know the price. We do have a minimum rental order of $300 for delivery to be an option.

If I’m just looking for a few pieces, can I pick it up myself?

Indeed you can. If your order is placed and you have a suitable vehicle, pick-up and drop-off can be arranged for anytime during our regular store hours.

Can I come see Trove’s treasures in person?

Sure, we love showing off the goods. Contact us to set up a time to come visit us at the shop and we’ll give you the grand tour. Our storefront is located at 2622 Montrose Avenue in Downtown Abbotsford. And if you need us to come to you, we charge $100 for site consultations that is redeemable towards your rental order.

I had something particular in mind that I don’t see in your inventory. Can you help me find it?

Treasure hunting just happens to be one of our favourite things to do (go figure). Let us know what you had in mind, and we’ll put the search out. Also keep in mind that we are always bringing new items in that don’t make it onto the website immediately so we may already have that special something you had in mind.

Oops, I broke it…

These things happen, especially when everyone’s having a good time. We won’t be upset, but we do charge a replacement fee if it’s broken or not returned, which is typically three times the rental price, but varies depending on the piece. If it’s a stain or a rip, we charge a cleaning or repairing fee.

Can I change my order after I’ve placed it?

We know decisions can be tricky, and your tastes are ever evolving, so feel free to switch it up at anytime up to two weeks before your event without penalty. Just keep in mind that all of our rentals are one of a kind and may not be available for your date. 

I love your stuff, but I haven’t a clue what to do with it. Can you come and make it nice and pretty?

We are all decorators at heart, and can’t say no to some vintage styling. If you need help setting up your treasures, we charge a minimum of $75 per hour to come in and make it fabulous for your event.

I only need that marvellous sofa for a couple of hours. Do you offer an hourly rental rate?

Sure do! A perfect option for photographers or others needing our pieces for up to 4 hours. Please note that delivery is not available on hourly rentals.
